Branding your documents and securing your account

Add your logo and business details, set a default tax rate and home currency, sign in with a passkey, and know how to leave with your data.

Two settings jobs worth doing once: making documents look like they came from your business, and making your account secure enough to stop thinking about.

Step by step

  1. Add your business details — Your business name and address are prefilled onto new invoices, so they only need typing once.
  2. Upload your logo — It appears on the documents you send. If you want a cleaner look, you can also hide Billable’s own branding on them.
  3. Set your defaults — Choose a default VAT/GST tax rate and a home currency. New invoices then start out already correct rather than needing the same two fields set every time.
  4. Secure your sign-in — Set up a passkey for password-free sign-in, or keep using your email and password. Whichever suits you.

Your data

Your invoices, clients and records are yours. You can delete your account and data whenever you like, and we never sell it. If you need an export or a deletion handled, email us from the address on your account and we will take care of it.

Quirks worth knowing

The small things that trip people up.

Defaults are applied to new documents, not old ones

Setting a default tax rate or home currency changes what new invoices start out with. Invoices you have already raised keep the values they were created with.

Billable's own branding can be hidden

If you would rather your documents carry only your name, you can turn Billable's branding off on them.

Passkeys and passwords both work

A passkey gives you password-free sign-in with nothing to remember; email and password still works if you prefer it. You are not forced onto either.

Branding is per organisation

If you run more than one business, each organisation has its own logo, details, tax rate and home currency — so documents always go out under the right name.

Leaving is a thing you can actually do

You can delete your account and data whenever you like, and we do not sell your data. If you want an export first, email us and we will sort it out.
