What it is

Billable is a Progressive Web App, so there's nothing to download from an app store. Open it in your browser and choose "Install" — or "Add to Home Screen" on iPhone and iPad — and it lands on your home screen or desktop with its own icon. From then on it opens in a clean, standalone window with no address bar, just like an app you'd download.

Because the app itself is cached on your device, it launches straight away and still opens when you have no connection — handy for checking a client or invoice on patchy signal. When a new version ships, Billable never reloads under you mid-edit: it quietly waits and offers a one-tap "update available" prompt, so you refresh only when it suits you.
